New leather loveseats replaced the old ones in the conversation area while the swivel chairs were re-padded and re-upholstered. New area rugs and toss cushions reflected the cream, blue and brown colour scheme. New artwork provided the finishing touch.

The living room was separated between media area and conversation area but both needed a complete overhaul.
Living Room before
The dining room no longer reflected the vibrant couple who often entertained family and friends in this room. Lacklustre and out-dated, the homeowner wanted to keep the furniture but needed help with accessorizing.
Living Room after
Starting with a striking new colour scheme – cream, espresso brown and a beautiful blue – the window treatment and area rug were replaced and new prints and a mirror were added. The feel of this space has been dramatically altered with minimal changes.

Kitchen Area before
The kitchen and breakfast area required a more than a few decorative touches. This space lacked colour and style.
Kitchen Area after
The transformation included: new cabinetry and countertop, unique triangular table and window treatments. The chairs, which had been fashioned by the homeowner's father, were all carefully refinished so that they look brand new.

This bar area was designed for the back section of the kitchen, a space which had been overlooked on the original. A wine cooler and coffee centre create the perfect beverage nook.

Home Office before
The most neglected room on the main floor, the home office with its dated 80’s brick fireplace, had become an eyesore with wires, cables, printers and desks.

The office has been transformed into the music room. The brick fireplace was painted as well as the walls. Lined window drapery panels and custom rug provide sound absorption needed for the drums, and the framed art and statuettes add the ambiance to this functional yet ... More Details »
Injecting a contemporary feel
Tired of feeling like she was still living in the 1980’s, the homeowner wanted to inject a contemporary feel to her first floor living space (without breaking the bank). Reupholstering the existing furniture and minimizing new purchases where possible while completely transforming each room achieved the budgetary concerns.
