How would two contrasting colour tiles look on 8X9 fireplace face

I have a fireplace face that is 8 × 9 with a 48 inch gas fireplace insert set one foot above the floor.
I would like to use 2 colours of tile. One colour would be up the centre and the other would be on the side.
